Charbon, NSW, Australia (1928)

“Ghostly” knockings at Charbon.

The following interesting paragraph is vouched for by a Mudgee journalist:-

There is more than a suspicion that a near relative of the Guyra ghost has strayed to Charbon, the cement centre near Kandos. During the past week a man and his wife have been alarmed by mysterious knocking and stone throwing. As soon as they retire the noises start, and all efforts to fathom the mystery have proved unavailing. The haunted family has decided to shift quarters. It is not anticipated that there will be any great rush of tenants to try their luck in the house of mystery.
