Five Haunted Children.
A strange case of the supernatural in which four children who were separated were still pursued by “phantoms” is occupying the attention of spiritualist circles (says a Rome message). A man living at Borgonato (Brescia) had a family of four youngsters whose ages ranged from four to eleven, the “Gazzetta del Popolo” reported. The children, who all slept in the same room, were awakened at night by thumps behind the walls. Their beds were also shaken violently. The children were moved to another room, but the “spirits” pursued them.
When the youngsters fell ill the father took the unusual step of boarding them out with friends, each one staying with a different family. It was in vain. Instead of one haunted house there were now five.
Police who were called in found the phenomena were not due to any ordinary causes.
