Noisy ghost harassing young girl.
Singapore, Sept 1.
A Poltergeist (noisy ghost) has been harassing a 14-year-old Malay girl for the past week and two Englishmen are making plans to investigate, it was reported yesterday. The latest attack, according to “The Straights Times,” took place on Saturday in broad daylight. Because of the mysterious attacks the paper said the girl’s father summoned a “Bomoh” (Malay witch doctor) to help chase the ghost away, but without success.
The paper said that on three separate occasions, with the witch doctor there the girl had tried to drink water from a glass but that the glass fell from her hands while she shrieked.
The girl lives with her father and mother, grandmother, and several brothers and sisters, but she is the only target of the invisible attacker, the paper said. When she went to the kitchen a betel nut tray would overturn spilling its contents in her path, or a kerosene lamp fall from the wall, or that when she went to sit down an empty chair would move and arrange itself next to her, the paper said.
Rohannah’s worried father told the paper the whole business started last Monday when 12 stones about one and a half pounds each rained down on the house. No one was hurt, but from then on curious happenings started to take place. – UPI.
