Berlin, Germany (1950)

 “Ghost” does overtime on Sundays.

Berlin, Thursday.

British troops in Berlin have lent the German police a special amplifier to help pin down a “knocking ghost” which has terrified the inhabitants of a tenement in the British sector for two years.

Officials of the German Criminal Police have searched every inch of the house for the cause of the regular knocking noise, which can be heard all night from 11 o’clock until six the next morning – except on Sundays when the noise goes on until nine a.m.
