Spook with a sense of fun.

There’s something strange in a Swansea neighbourhood – so strange that Clase council tenant Michael Lambert could soon call Ghostbusters. Ever since 48-year-old Michael and his wife Marilyn, 42, moved into their flat in Beacon’s View Road, they’ve been befriended by a mischievous poltergeist. The friendly phantom – christened Oscar – even followed the Lamberts on holiday last weekend because he got lonely all by himself in the house.
He started playing games with the couple and their Old English sheepdog, Dougal, when they moved into the flat in March. – A favourite armchair did a 180 degree turn in the middle of the night and Michael found it facing the corner of the living room. – The couple lost their keys three times and found them in the fridge. – The television and the Lamberts’ brand new video came on all by themselves. The TV even switched channels without warning, after Michael took the batteries out of his remote control. – The couple heard the in-use signal on their extension telephone in the bedroom, as if someone or something was using the main phone in the hall. – And, strangest of all, the lights switched themselves on and the radio came on full blast when the Lamberts were on a weekend break with the Caravan Club in Worcester.
A bemused Michael said today: “I wouldn’t have believed in ghosts a few months ago, but now I’m sure there’s something here. I’m even convinced the ghost came on holiday with us. I’m told you can get friendly ghosts and ours is certainly full of fun. There’s nothing frightening about it and it’s caused no damage, so there’s not much point getting in touch with an exorcist. We don’t want to move either. The flat is perfect and the neighbours are lovely. But eventually I think Oscar could definitely be a job for Ghostbusters.”
