Mystery Fires at Farm.
A series of sudden inexplicable fires in the house of a farmer at Dinteloord, Holland, has given rise to a suggestion that the house is haunted by “incendiary ghosts”. One day the wallpaper in the kitchen began to burn, ten minutes later the tablecloth caught fire.
Before the day was over the farmer, aided by police and firemen, had to douse 18 small blazes which apparently started spontaneously in such unlikely objects as wet dishcloths. Chemical tests have so far produced no explanation – Reuter.
