Psychic phenomena in Italy.

For some time past it is declared (says the Rome correspondent of the “Globe”) strange phenomena have been observed in the village of Isola, not far from Spezzia. Stones have rattled against windows, on going outside the houses the inhabitants have found nothing to account for the shower of missiles. The bells in the campanile sound of their own accord. It is even stated, with all gravity, that the furniture is moved by invisible hands from the houses, and is seen to go down the streets and into the gardens.
The manifestation which appears to have caused the greatest sensation, however, is the appearance of an old, white-haired man, clothed entirely in white, and enveloped by a mysterious luminosity, who is seen standing on a hill with outstretched hand, pointing down into the village.
The inhabitants of Isola have called in the police to investigate the strange happenings, and a body of Carabiniers has now arrived in the place, but the majority of the people are convinced that the phenomena are not of human origin.
