Haunting case of creepy cottage for ghost hunter Anne.

By Giles Rees.

Ghost hunter Anne Bradford is probing a strange haunting at an elderly couple’s cottage. The husband and wife are being menaced by a poltergeist in their Victorian cottage in Leominster, Herefordshire. The sinister spook’s acts have included hurling a teapot across a room and throwing a pot plant off a window ledge. The couple have also been dogged by mysterious bumps and banging noises in the night.

Ex-teacher Mrs Bradford admitted yesterday: “I haven’t really got any explanation for it. I think they are afraid of it. They have asked me if I know anyone who can help them. I have suggested people and there is a very good local medium. But they don’t want to bring anyone in. She said she could not name the couple, but was going to continue her investigations. “one of the problems is that whenever things are stirred up it seems to get worse.”

Mrs Bradford, from Redditch, Worcestershire, is compiling a book due out next year on hauntings in the Midlands. She is being helped by paranormal lecturer Mr Barry Roberts, from Great Barr, Birmingham. Mrs Bradford has collated 150 ghostly goings-on. She said: “I’m not at all psychic and I did not believe in ghosts until about two years ago when I started my research and I interviewed all of these people who without doubt have seen something paranormal.”
