Beds that walk.
Remarkable occurrences in “haunted” house.
Paris, Tuesday.
Beds that walk about the house, vases that break themselves against the wall, keys that disappear and reappear, apples and bread that leap off their plates – these are some of the phenomena reported by psychic experts from a supposedly “haunted” house near Paray-le-Monial, in the Charolles district.
The house has been in possession of a small farmer for a number of years. Nothing remarkable occurred until a few weeks ago, when the lock was broken from the door, apparently without human agency. Since then glasses and cups have been seen to hurl themselves against the cupboard, money to fall from the roof into the fireplace, and other inexplicable incidents to occur from time to time.
The cupboard, it is noted, seems to be the centre of the supposed psychic activities. -B.U.P.
