A ghost goes to bed with a bride.
Exclusive by Geoffrey Lakeman.
Newlywed Anita Underwood’s honeymoon bliss was shattered by a saucy intruder – a ghost. Not only did the restless spirit go bump in th enight, moving things around and turning rooms icy cold. He also made himself at home on Anita’s and husband Kevin’s bed. Anita, 19, said: “The quilt looked as if someone had been lying on Kevin’s side, full length down the bed. His pillow was puffed up like when you want to prop your head up. My side of the quilt was naturally cold, but Kevin’s side was absolutely freezing.”
Anita and 22-year-old Kevin returned from honeymoon to other strange happenings at their home in Plymouth: Wedding presents were moved mysteriously; Their dog kept “howling like a wolf; Furniture fell over and lights turned on and off. Finally the frightened couple called in the vicar who blessed the house in an exorcism ceremony. “The whole house feels much warmer now and we’ve decided to stay,” said Anita.
Anita: Frightened.
