Shoalwater, Perth, Australia (1973)

 Hand that rocks the cradle…

A young Australian couple have claimed they are being terrorised by a poltergeist, which has sent crockery and kitchen utensils crashing about their home and even tried to tip their six-week-old son out of his cradle. The couple, Peter and Faye Trahersh, of Shoalwater Bay, Perth, said the first ghostly visit began a week ago. Two Roman Catholic priests and a Methodist minister attempted, but failed, to exorcise the poltergeist.

“I was scared before, but I’m terrified now,” said Mrs Trahersh. “I have been hit by moving objects twice.”

Methodist minister Mr Bill Vawker said he was now helping the family to find another home.
