 Ghosts Defied.

British Police Officer’s Experience in Haunted House.

Singapore.

A British police officer posted his men all round a house said to be haunted. Then he entered, and this is what happened.

A huge snail fell on the bed on which the officer was sitting; a stone fell into the middle of the room, and an empty ink bottle tumbled off a shelf. The owner of the house had reported to the police that large and small stones fell into the rooms, things kept in drawers and meat safes flew from one place to another, and knockings were heard on the walls.

The “Malayan Police Gazette,” which relates these incidents, adds that the house has now been pulled down. – Reuter.
