Haunted building in Stockton.
Rumours to a very ominous purport are current in Stockton to the effect that one of the most useful public buildings in the borough is haunted. Noises of dancing have been heard in the middle of the night in an empty room, papers have vanished from a desk without anyone seeing them go, butter has melted off a plate whilst upon a tea table, and children have been frightened out of their bedroom without any tangible cuase. Some people are firm believers in phenomenon, whilst others do not accept it at all. Further particulars on a future occasion.
