 A Haunted House.

The township of Wangoola, near Carcoar, New South Wales, has been thrown into a state of excitement over mysterious noises at the house of a family named Humphries. The family has been annoyed by the opening of doors. It is said that when a certain door was closed it would fly open in their faces. the door has been removed and the opening boarded up. It is now asserted that mysterious cries are heard and the figure of a woman seen passing between the residence of another settler and the Humphries’ homestead, and that when approached it will vanish into a creek. The residents are taking steps to solve the matter.
