Four “haunted” people move to parish hall.
A family of four moved their beds into a parish hall last night – because they did not want to spend another sleepless night in their three-bedroomed council house. Mr and Mrs Ernest Moore and their children Michael, aged 14, and Gloria, aged nine, of Mousehold-street, Norwich, say that “strange noises” have kept them awake for two weeks.
They say that window panes have been broken and the hands of clocks and watches have been moved. Mr and Mrs Moore asked the vicar, the Rev. Sidney Long, to bless the house. Mr Long said yesterday: “I was sceptical at first, but while I was blessing the house a stone fell at my feet.”
An official at the city hall said: “We are sending an inspector to examine the house.”
